There will be two Fixed Events where all the Pros will fish together: Jensen Beach, FL and St Simon's Island, GA.
Each Fixed Event is two days of fishing, but we treat each day like a single event with points being determined for each day. That equals four days of fishing between the two Fixed Events.
If you miss a day of fishing at a Fixed Event due to boat or motor problems, then you will be allowed to take one more Wildcard Event score. i.e.: five instead of four. 1,500 points for a win each day, percentage thereafter.
Fixed Events will be moved each year. No site will be used more than once in a three-year period of time. Venue decisions will also be based on where the Pro participants come from.
Both St. Simon's Isle and Jensen Beach will have a Divisional event going on at the same time as ours. You can fish the event for their prizes, however these two spots will not count for Wildcard points.

The Pro Tour Championship, or the final event of the year, is also two days of fishing with points affixed to each day’s fishing. It will be a two-day event, with the site being the same as that of the SKA National Championship. Site to be determined.
If you fish the two Fixed Events, you receive an automatic entry into the Pro Tour Championship and an invitation to the SKA National Championship, which will be held at a site yet to be determined. The Pro Tour Championship will be on Tuesday and Wednesday and the National Championship on Friday and Saturday.
Everyone coming into the final event, the Pro Tour Championship, should have eight days of fishing scores.

Wildcard Events are SKA Divisional tournaments (excluding Jensen Beach and St Simon's). You can fish up to TEN, however we only count your best four days, again with two-day events counting as two separate days of scoring.
If you fish a two-day event, you can choose to fish the first day, second day, or both days. In other words, day one looks so-so because of weather, so you elect only to count day two. You must, however, let SKA officials know your intentions before the start of each day’s fishing. For each day of fishing there will be a ten-dollar form to fill out for the Pros. You must declare prior to fishing a tournament which days you want counted towards your wildcard points.
Using this formula, it isn’t important which wildcard events you fish in because size is not the determining factor. Where you finish is.
Total points from these events are broken down as follows:
Fixed Events: Winner each day receives 1,500 points, percentage thereafter.
Pro Tour Championship: Winner each day receives 1,750 points, percentage thereafter.
Wildcard Events: Winner each day receives 1,000 points, percentage thereafter.
Points are determined by a percentage of the fish weight. Heres are examples using points from each of the three types of events.
The biggest fish of the day at a Wildcard Event is 35.10 and you weigh a 27.80. The winner, if entered in the Divisional Tournament and the Pro Tour, gets 1,000 points.
You would receive 792 points (27.80 ÷ 35.10 = .792 then 1000 x .792 = 792). Even if you did not enter the Divisional Tournament with a SKA Registration Points Form, and you are only fishing as a Pro in the event, it’s still based on where you finish relative to the biggest fish weighed that day.
If this were a Fixed Event, where the top fish of each day is worth 1,500 points, your 27.80 fish would be worth 1188 points. (27.80 ÷ 35.10 = .792 then 1500 x .792 = 1188).
Same method can be used to demonstrate scoring (1383 points) if that scenario played out on one of the final point days at the Pro Tour Championship.
(NOTE: We will round to the nearest point for the scoring of each day.)
A poor showing one day at one of the Fixed Events simply serves to provide extra incentives to try to maximize your wildcard score.
Your biggest fish caught all year, if any, will break all ties at the end of year. (In your ten fish stringer.)
Class of 23 teams are certainly invited to fish the Pros and many have in years past. Class of 23 teams will receive wildcard points based on where they finish in the overall event. Example, you win the Class of 23 but would have finished sixth overall in the event. A win in the Class of 23 does not count. Only the percentage of your fish compared to that of the overall winner of the event if that was not you.
The ANGLER OF THE YEAR team is determined by the team with the best ten-day scoring at the end of the season. Four days of Fixed Events wins = 6,000 points ... Four Wildcard day wins = 4,000 points ... and two days at the Pro Tour Championship = 3,500 points. A perfect score would net a team 13,500 points.
Entry fee to compete in the entire year of competition will be $3,060.00
$1,000 paid at the beginning of the year.
Additional $1,060 due prior to Fixed Event #1 (Jensen Beach)
Final $1,000 installment due prior to Fixed Event #2 (St Simon's Island)
Teams have up until Jensen Beach to decide if they want to participate. If you pay your $3,060 in full prior to the Jensen Beach event, all tournaments from 2010 leading up to Jensen will count toward your Wildcard Event points (Retroactive).
SKA Rules and Code of Conduct to apply. For all Pro events including Wildcard Events, you cannot substitute a boat. i.e.: you decide to fish the XYZ event and you talk to your friend into using his boat. He’s fishing for Divisional Points, you are fishing for Pro Points. This will not be allowed.
A $10 Yamaha Professional Kingfish Tour form must be filled out for each day of fishing for three reasons: 1. To tell SKA the team is fishing the event for Pro points 2. To list the people on board who must be SKA Competition Members, and 3. To declare which days of the event you want your points counted–Day 1, Day 2, or both.
