The Southern Kingfish Association has been the premier Kingfish tournament trail since 1991. From Texas to the Carolinas, the SKA promotes safe, family-friendly and reputable King Mackerel tournaments while ensuring the future of its fishery.

What does it mean to be a member?

Being a part of the SKA is a true, value-based membership. In addition to receiving first-hand coverage of you and your fellow anglers at every sanctioned King Mackerel Tournament, SKA members receive a number of industry discounts and benefits from the Association's proud partners. It's a membership FOR the King Mackerel Angler.

The Southern Kingfish Association 2026 Memberships

For 2026, a portion of every membership fee helps build the Divisional Kingfish Kash Pots! Win your division and claim the pot. Plus, sponsors can add to the prize pool—so be sure to watch the payout grow throughout the season on our website.

Competition Member

$120

For the competing angler, this member level gives you access to create your own Angler Profile page. For every sanctioned tournament you participate in, receive up-to-date points and standing rankings and access to all SKA benefits.

Competition Members can also qualify for Senior (Males anglers age 55 and over), Lady (age 18+) and/or Veteran Angler rankings. (Female anglers are ONLY qualified as "Lady Anglers" if aged 18+; otherwise, they qualify for Junior or NextGen rankings and prizes. Veteran Angler status can overlap with any other category.)

*** Please note you will need to check in your team and anglers prior to each event to qualify for points. There is no additional cost for check in. ***

Competition NextGen Angler Member

$60

For the competing NextGen Angler (13-17 years old). If the Angler is thirteen (13) on January 1 of that calendar year, they are eligible for competition in the NextGen Angler class. As long as the NextGen Angler's 18th birthday is after January 1 of the calendar year of competition, they can compete as a NextGen Angler for the remainder of the season. For every sanctioned tournament you participate in, receive up-to-date points and standing rankings and access to all SKA benefits.

Competition Junior Angler Member

FREE

Competition Junior Anglers are defined as being 12 years of age or younger. Competition Junior Anglers are entitled to compete in any number of the Divisions in the Junior Angler category. For every sanctioned tournament you participate in, receive up-to-date points and standing rankings and access to all SKA benefits

Associate Member

$60

Not competing but want to keep up with all the action? Enjoy access to SKA benefits and up-to-date feeds on SKA Sanctioned events.

You must be a SKA Competition Member to win any SKA-sponsored prizes. Membership runs on an annual basis, from January 1 to December 31.
