SKA National Championships Postponed until April 14-17, 2021
The Southern Kingfish Association is in the unfortunate position of having to announce the postponement of SKA Nationals slated for August 27-29, 2020 at Causeway Cove Marina in Ft. Pierce, Florida to April 14-17, 2021.
This decision did not come easy. Taking into account the current state of the COVID pandemic in the southeast, the recommendations from local and county government officials not to have mass gatherings, allowing only boxed dinners rather than a full Nationals Captains’ Party, a scaled-back Divisional Awards Ceremony, and restricted daily weigh-ins with angler and spectator limits, the SKA team along with the Treasure Coast Sports Commission agreed that postponing the event was in the best interest of our members and families.
If you are currently registered for SKA Nationals, your registration will be valid for the 2021 date. If you have a conflict with the postponed date, our staff will start the process of issuing refunds to teams upon request. We ask that you please be patient with us as we work to make the situation right for our members.
Thanks to our members and the angler community, the SKA is going strong and making the best of what has been a very complex 2020 for the world, nation, businesses, and you, our anglers.
Again, making the choice to postpone SKA Nationals has not been easy. We hope our extended SKA family of anglers will understand this decision and look forward to April 14-17, 2021 with what we know will be the best SKA Nationals to date.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope you and your families stay safe and healthy.
