(25' Contender / Yamaha) Southport local Capt Mark Treurniet and crew member Nick Evans won the US OPEN! They beat out a field of 472 other boats for the title, cash, and coveted blue jacket. The 49.75-pound monster came early on Day 2 of the Open. Keep it Reel finished 6th place D-9 Open Class with 77.53 pounds.

(32' Contender / Yamaha) Landed a 35.70 at the U.S. OPEN KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT. That fish was enough to clinch Division 9 Open Class title! Along the way, they also picked up Top D-9 Sr Angler for Jodie Gay and Top D-9 Jr Angler for little Henry. Congrats on a spectacular year! Best of luck in Biloxi.

(39' Sea Vee / Mercury) Capt Mark Henderson and crew had the largest SKA Division 1 fish at the U.S. OPEN KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT- a 39.85 lb beast! They are in 2nd place Open Class D-1 with the final event this weekend! Less than a pound separates LF from first place, can they find an upgrade to their smallest fish a 14.89?

(27' Onslow Bay / Mercury) Capt Kevin Norris scaled his largest SKA fish of the year at the U.S. OPEN KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT. The 39 pounder moved the past National Champs into 1st place Small Boat D-1 with the final event- NC Troopers this weekend. Best of luck!

(33' Onslow Bay / Mercury) Capt Corey Bellamy landed a beautiful 34.65 at the U.S. OPEN KING MACKEREL TOURNAMENT. The fish also clinched 2nd place Open class for D-9 with 86.39 pounds 3 fish aggregate weight. Congratulations on an amazing year!

(27' Contender / Yamaha) Capt Leon Messer and crew landed a solid 36.75 pound fish at the US Open. That fish pushed the team to finish 8th place Open Class D-9 with 73.79 pounds. Great year and very nice fish!

They weighed in at all 4 D-9 tourneys this year for a total of 78.75 on the 3 fish aggregate. They beat out Bug-n-a-rug by just over 2 pounds for the D-9 Small boat title.
